A week or so ago, I was reading thru the news in the Times of India or the Hindustan Times, Mumbai editions, and would have lamost missed this.

Alongwith the usual blah bl;ah on the new airport at Navi Mumbai they said that 80 meters would have to be chopped off the Matheran hill!

I was agast n have to ask that this should be taken up. The 1 last piece of Paradise n they want to kill it too.

Yesterday they were discussing the new alignment and talkd about the Karnala hills being trimmed.

WE DEFINITELY DON’T NEED THIS in the name of development.
